Description

This frame has a flat liner at the sight edge then a foliate band and a flat frieze with an incised square motif. The broad ogee profile has a profusion of flowers, tendrils, C-scrolls and straps on a cross hatched background. The extended corners and centers have fanned leaves and C-scrolls set on a wider cross hatched background. Cove sides with a round edge and dentils at the back edge. Original gilding.
