Description

This frame has a narrow stepped sight edge with a flat fillet that crosses at the corners. The flat frieze has delicate S-scroll, leaf and anthemion motifs with a laurel wreath at the corners and round medallions at the centers. A narrow cove rises above to a flat top edge. The hollow sides undercut the top edge. Original gilding.
